Follow Thresh’s journey through the Reaping, the Capitol, and the Games, and find out what truly lies under his mask.)
5. The Rescue (Summary: The story picks up in Mockingjay, while Peeta lies at the hands of President Snow in the Capitol and Katniss is away in District 13. Instead of staying behind while Gale and the others attempt to rescue Peeta, she joins them in search of him.)

1. Releasing the Mockingjay (Expanded Summary: Rue Vellims is just twelve years old when she’s selected to compete in the 74th annual Hunger Games. Although her life in District Eleven is not ideal, she would rather be in her small house and working in fields surrounded by electric fences and violent Peacekeepers than be fighting to the death on live TV with twenty-three other unlucky tributes.
In the arena, however, Rue gains an ally. Katniss Everdeen soon becomes someone she considers a friend. As Rue battles the idea of knowing that, sooner or later, one of them will have to kill the other, Katniss realizes the meaning of Peeta’s words: “I’m more than just a piece in their games.”
Rue is the only one who can truly show Katniss that the citizens of Panem are not just pawns to be played. As Rue’s life nears an end, she is the only one who can release the Mockingjay.

This is my fan fiction of the first tumblr Hunger Games, written in the POVs of Cassidy (District 8 tribute), Micah (District 12 tribute), and Taylor (Girl from District 12 and Micah’s possible G/f, but kinda sorta not and its complicated.) Enjoy. :)
